April 2018
Sister-in-Law is now available from your favorite bookseller. There was a very nice interview/article in the current edition of the International Thriller Writers magazine, The Big Thrill.
There is also a recent interview on BookPleasures.com. If you check this out, please excuse the photo, which looks like it was taken in a fun house mirror. Not sure why, but even my driver’s license looks better!
If you do read Sister-in-Law, I would appreciate your reviewing it on either Amazon or anywhere else you think appropriate. Thank you in advance.
Progress with Mrs. Kaplan
Oy Vey, Maria!, the third book in my “Mrs. Kaplan” cozy mystery series, is currently being circulated to potential publishers by my agent. I’m hoping to find a publisher that will publish print editions of all three stories, including the two that Random House originally published digitally.
And now, the main reason you read these newsletters:
Author Jokes
A writer comes home to a burned down house. His sobbing and slightly-singed wife is standing outside. “What happened, honey?” the man asks.
“Oh, John, it was terrible,” she weeps. “I was cooking, the phone rang. It was your agent. Because I was on the phone, I didn’t notice the stove was on fire. It went up in a second. Everything is gone. I nearly didn’t make it out of the house. Poor Fluffy is–”
“Wait, wait. Back up a minute,” the man says. “My agent called?”

If Moses were alive today, he’d come down from the mountain with the Ten Commandments and spend the next five years trying to get them published.
